The National Community Radio Forum (NCRF) was launched on December 1993, in Orlando, Soweto, in order to lobby for the diversification of the airwaves in South Africa, and to foster a dynamic broadcasting environment in the country through the establishment of community radio stations. The NCRF is a national, member-driven association of community radio stations and support service organisations. The website includes a few audio files (MP3) which can be dowloaded on the following themes: World Conference Against Racism (WCAR); Radiocracy Conference; Highway Africa Conference on Digital Rennaissance. Since 1998, the NCRF has linked its member stations to a system called SACRIN - the South African Community Radio Information Network. The SACRIN project is a satellite transmission and receiving system that links community stations all over South Africa to share programming. There are currently 37 community radio stations sharing programming through the SACRIN Network. News 09/2005 The National Community Radio Forum’s AGM is to be held on the 10th of November 2005
