This material is part of the Multimedia Training Kit (MMTK) developed by OneWorld Radio. The MMTK provides an integrated set of multimedia training materials and resources to support community media, community multimedia centres, telecentres, and other initiatives using ICTs to empower communities and support development work. This document explains how to record sound in to the computer from an external audio device (tape recorder, minidisk, DAT), how to do basic sound editing using Sound Forge, how to transform the audio, eliminate noise and create sound effects; how to influence sound quality and size of the audio file using Sound Forge functions; how to choose digitising/recording settings of the audio bearing in mind different audiences. |
